Viva Mexican Restaurant is located on 2 Thnou Street, so it has a central position nearby all the most important attractions, hotel, markets, and shops where you can buy souvenirs. Viva Restaurant is only a few minutes away by car from the Angkor Wat temple complex, so it’s easy to stop by here for a hearty meal to regain your forces after a day roaming through the winding roads in Angkor Wat.

The restaurant is impossible to miss from outside. You will see an imposing, bright-orange building with window arcades and columns coloured in white, and a row of motorcycles that are usually parked in front of the restaurant. The outside terrace is close to the main road, so it’s right in the middle of Siem Reap’s hustle and bustle, but the interior is less hectic, although the traditional Mexican dining atmosphere is infused with laughter and companionship.

Inside, the restaurant boasts the same bright orange as outside, with an immense replica of the Machu Pichu in the centre. The restaurant may not be the widest in Siem Reap, but the tables offer enough privacy and the chairs are comfortable. The upstairs terrace is airy and offers a nice view of the Old Market.

The food portions are big and generally affordable. You can sample Mexican delicacies that include burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas, fajita, nachos, quesadillas, and tacos, along with Western and Cambodian dishes, like the Amok Chicken Curry.

Tourists’ favourites include quesadillas with salsa and guacamole, Chilli con Carne, shredded beef tacos, mango margaritas and even pizza. The meals you can enjoy here are served on carefully decorated plates that enhance user experience and make you want to return for more.

Before starting your meal, sample some of the frozen margaritas which kickstart your appetite at an affordable price. The selection of tequilas is equally impressive, but you have plenty of time to try these as the Viva Mexican Restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks and late night.
