The Anachak Khmer Sra Srang is a popular restaurant just outside Siem Reap, and the Cooktuk adventure is its flagship. Embark on one of the classic tuk-tuks and find out why this restaurant calls them “cooktuks”! You can relax all the way to the most awe-inspiring temples in Siem Reap and visit the most stunning attractions here.
You will be greeted in front of your hotel by a prompt, friendly driver at the agreed-upon time. It’s an early-morning adventure so you can have plenty of time to admire in all detail the most interesting temples in Angkor Wat.
Better than any self-guided tour, the Cooktuk adventure is easy to book in advance, but remember that the spaces are limited for each day.
This ride will take you from the hypnotizing Angkor Wat to the Khmer Arts-designed Buddhist temple of Bayon. Then, your heart will skip a beat at the Ta Prohm Temple, where the jungle has swallowed the magnificent stone-built construction that served as the famous Tomb Raider temple. You have plenty of time to roam around, and the driver has lots of water to keep you hydrated. The Cooktuk patiently waits for your return to take you back to a popular nearby restaurant.
The staff at the Khmer Cooking Empire understands that to experience the Khmer culture in all its glory, visiting the local temples is not enough. If you want to see how the Khmer lived, you need to understand what food meant to them and how they celebrated every dining experience as a family.
Your gastronomic adventure takes an hour and a half. During this time, our 5-stars experienced chefs will expertly guide you through the preparation of three traditional Cambodian dishes, but they will also give you the recipes upon your departure. Afterward, you can enjoy the delicious meal you’ve created with a stunning view of the Srah Srong lake. The staff at the Khmer Cooking Empire are friendly and dedicated to their community, helping local disadvantaged people to learn a trade and the English language. Don’t miss the time to explore, cook, eat and drink in Siem Reap!
