Champey Cooking Class

The Champey Cooking Class is one of the original and most popular cooking classes in Siem Reap. After Angkor Wat temple, you can have a fun culinary experience. You spend a morning or an afternoon learning how to cook delicious and authentic Khmer food. You will be learning the same recipes which Champey Restaurant prepares in their restaurant every day. You’ll do more than just learn how to cook, you’ll be taken to the Old Market to buy the ingredients which we need to for cooking. You can see how most locals buy their food and we’ll explain each ingredient for you.

You can learn where in Cambodia the produce is sourced and how ingredients are used in cooking. This first hand experience of a local market is exciting in itself, but you also get to go back to the “Champey Cooking School” where you’ll be taught how to prepare a local dish by a professional chef. You can opt to cook one of many dishes to your taste and take the skills you have learnt back home with you. Share your new Khmer culinary cooking prowess with your loved ones at home, we’re sure they’ll be impressed with your new skills!

After you have finished cooking your food, the best part has arrived! You’ll be able to enjoy your hard work and eat your very own creation. The three and a half hour cooking classes will take you through the entire process from beginning to end. You’ll know what ingredients you will need, you’ll learn how to prepare everything, how to cook a delicious meal, and finally, you’ll get to eat.

Each class also includes a complimentary box of spices, a recipe book, and a certificate to say that you’ve completed an authentic Khmer cooking course!
