The Village Cafe

The Village Café is situated on Tep Vong Street, near Siem Reap’s centre. This café is a unique place you can try if you’re in Siem Reap because it doesn’t just offer delicious food, but a modern atmosphere and quality jazz music. This vibrant café is loved by people who crave for a breath of international sophistication in the heart of the ancient Khmer world.

Outside the café, you can admire some palm trees, a few intimate tables interspersed with statuettes and large doors. Inside, the atmosphere becomes increasingly energetic, especially during the evenings. The décor is very bohemian, as the Village Café’s walls are filled with pictures of famous artists, and the long hanging lampshades fill the place with a warm, glowing light. The tables are wide and seats are very comfortable, whether you choose the leather couches or the chairs.

While breathing in the jazz-infused atmosphere of the 1930s, you can also admire the chefs that work at preparing your meal right behind an open door to the kitchen. The meals are delicious and the menu astounds through its variety because the Village Café is on par with some of Siem Reap’s exclusive restaurants when it comes to meal diversity and taste.

The Village Café hosts a happy hour that starts at 5 pm when you can try a variety of delicious drinks and cocktails, such as Espresso Martini and ginger motion. Friday is the day of live music with famous international and Cambodian artists. As such, Friday sees the happy hour extend until 9 pm, and the closing time extends to 2 am.
